Nose: Dark almost burnt caramel/sugar. Crisp apples, warm rye toast.
Palate: more of that caramel from the nose but also has a toffee like note to it now as well. It makes me think of a wherthers original or one of the cube caramel chews. Apple turns more to a stewed apple with ground black pepper and nutmeg.
The caramel lingers with a bit of rye spice.
A Nice dark amber color, the nose is tobacco and chocolate, the palate chocolate mint, oak and pepper, with a very nice after taste. Distinct, in a good way, is the word that describes this drink
There’s a smokiness I get in all Balcones products I’ve had. Carmel on the nose, then lots of chocolate, rye spice, through the palate. Plenty of sweetness and spice on the finish with some slight heat.
