Nose is very medicinal with soaked raisins. Pruny. Very dry, dusty, typical Balcones. Tastes of stuff your grandma swears is good for you, then sweet tobacco, resolving to a warm, deep leather taste. Feels like this should be had with a cigar, followed by a ruby Porto. Not your typical rye. You need to be in the right mood for it.
Holy cow Batman it’s chocolate! The tasting from Jake on the main page is excellent! I get all those on the nose and pallet. To me this is an interesting whisky. The chocolate is so unique. It’s a dessert whisky? I mean yea whisky for dessert, but literarily! The chocolate is too strong for me to want a whole bottle, but it’s a fun whisky to try. Very unique in my opinion.
