Bardstown Bourbon Co. Distillery Collection Triple Blended Stave Finish

Really awesome nose that jumps out of the glass. Palate is a little more subdued, starting off with spice and moving to a very woody finish. Great mouthfeel and viscosity. Overall, an exceptional whiskey. Would have given this a 4.75, but ticking off .25 for value.

Nose is wonderful. Sweet, oaky, everything you want. Taste was heavy wood, oak. Revisiting gets a burnt vanilla caramel - like if you brewed a vanilla caramel coffee, it sat for an hour and then microwaved to heat up - sounds rough but taste better than it sounds. It’s too one dimensional (wood). Good, but not something I’m reaching for all the time

Brown sugar and leather on the nose with a balanced flavor and a finish that takes a second but is looooong!

I really like it! Lots of caramel and vanilla
