I am going through the Orgin Series Tasting Box I got on New Years. Looking forward to my first Bardstown.
Nose for me goes cinnamon spice part hot tamale and and part cinnamon sugar. A sweet molasses and with a maple tannin note.
Palate is thin young and spicy. Cherry aftertaste and cinnamon again.
Finish is tannins and barrel char and red pepper.
Overall this is not my favorite but was happy to get to try some of Bardstown. I do enjoy how a vanilla bean and carmel aroma fill the air while the glass sits and when you add water those notes get added to the palate which is nice. I like it with water or on a rock.
