The third release in Bardstown Bourbon Company's Discovery Series features three components, each of which is a bourbon using rye as its flavoring grain.
The largest component is 45% 13 year-old bourbon from MGP in Indiana, followed by 32% 13 year-old bourbon from Kentucky, and 23% 10 year-old bourbon from Kentucky.
The third release in Bardstown Bourbon Company's Discovery Series features three components, each of which is a bourbon using rye as its flavoring grain. The largest component is 45% 13 year-old bourbon from MGP in Indiana, followed by 32% 13 year-old bourbon from Kentucky, and 23% 10 year-old bourbon from Kentucky. The resulting blend of straight bourbons is bottled at 55%, meant to highlight the art of blending while showcasing mature stocks.

Tasting Notes
"A complex and inviting nose showcases cinnamon and cocoa powder, as well as lush fruits in the form of berries and brandied cherries. The palate is rich and chewy, with spearmint, vanilla, orchard fruits and barrel char, moving towards tannic, spicy oak and leather. A long finish continues in that direction, and is dotted with nutmeg, cloves and dark chocolate."
