Basil Hayden Toast

Really good, smooth, nice taste

I don't catch a lot of the tasting notes from the reviewer, but I do think it is relatively sweet. I also notice the "toast" aspect -- not quite smoky, definitely not peaty, but a slight burnt element. Interestingly, I do not get the oakiness that I thought would accompany a whiskey aged in charred oak barrels. Overall, I like it but I don't love it.

Aroma- massive banana bread, honey, cloves. Extremely sweet Taste - nothing like the nose. Shockingly hot at 40%… but I guess that’s because there’s not much going on here. Faint toasted barrel and the banana profile comes up again. But this is simply underwhelming and very overpriced. I wouldn’t pay more that $28-$30 tops for this.
