Benchmark Top Floor Bourbon (86 Proof)

Oak, grain, caramel, spearmint, very light cherry sweetness. It’s like the oak and the spirit come apart in the glass, you can taste both separately. Makes a good old fashioned.

Sweet nose of candied apple and caramel. The flavor starts with a bit of a grassy note, this had me worried. It developed into some kind of bitter sweet note. Maybe some dark cherry cherry. It finished with somw decent spice and oak. Not a bad bottle, certainly for the price. It might work well in some cocktails.

So as a classic bourbon i dont like this. If I view it like a liquer I’m game? It’s sweet but kinda flavorless in the front and the back comes in withore bourbon notes but little oak. Ive been searching for something to dip on the porch and this mihhy be it? I’m curious about other expressions now.
