Released in early 2016, this is one of the rarest products Benromach has released to date. It was produced under the watchful eyes of Donald MacDonald, former Distillery Manager. It was created before the Urquhart family (also owners of Gordon & Macphail) revived the distillery in 1998. It is bottled at 43% abv in a bespoke bottle and sold in an attractive wooden case.

Tasting Notes

"There is plenty of fruit on the nose leaning heavily towards oranges and dried fruits like apricots and red fruit. Slight hints of barrel spices and a dab of chocolate malt appear. As you taste, you'll notice that the body is of moderate fullness and the whisky is more sweet-tart than cloyingly sweet. The whisky seems a touch hotter than 43% abv, but if water is added, be judicious and add just a few drops of water. It adds a slightly richer/fuller experience and tames the heat of the alcohol. Overall, a lovely dram to enjoy on the cool, cool, cool of the evening."
