My first bottle was heavenly. This bottle is not as good. But it’s gotten better midway through the bottle.
Standard bourbon profile. Caramel and vanilla on palate. Wish the finish was longer. Some spice and oak towards the end. Still a very good pour.
Not tons on the nose. Sweet, floral aroma with a touch of honey. There’s some spice on the tongue with a smooth finish. It doesn’t bite like a Woodford or a Kbob Creek.
Had a neck pour at the bar, $15.50 per pour, so I am not sure how accurate this is. Might have to try it again to get a better read on it.
Smooth, some oak, butterscotch/carmel, citrus, cinnamon, and the usual vanilla and sweetness of corn. Some rye spice as well. Medium body and oily.
If I can find this, I would pick up a bottle to see how it evolves over time.
