Like a football team that excels in all 3 phases of the game. The offense is cinnamon sugar in the nose, coupled with dark hints or tobacco. The defense is the palate, light, with notes caramel, toffee, and snickerdoodle cookies. The special teams is the finish, warm spicy, but not overpowering. Well balanced and very intriguing overall.
Nose: I can smell the oak initially but it quickly leads into the vanilla sweetness of the wood. With a quick sniff, I smell cookie dough with some cinnamon. Similar to a snicker doodle. I smell the strength of tobacco and
some caramel.
Taste: at first, salted caramel, but can still taste some of those tobacco flavors that are strong, but not strong enough to burn. Definitely a journey. I can taste the slight spice of cinnamon, but very sweet and warm. Makes me think of biting into a warm cookie on a cold day.
GREAT BOURBON.
