RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma leans towards the herbal, savory, and spiced side with the hearty rye grain showing through. Taste wise you'll find a bittersweet note with some cherries and more dried herbs along with toasted rye bread. Definitely showing the grassy rye grain here with a good complexity. Adding water will soften the whiskey up and some sweeter aromas come through, particularly maple syrup. But while the rye becomes softer and fuller, the hearty savory rye is what remains. Rye fans should be pleased."
