This limited edition release from Michter's Legacy Series Bomberger's Declaration is made by finishing the Kentucky straight bourbon in PFG barrels —Precision Fine Grain. These proprietary barrels were made with a blend of wood from various origins including the Tronçais, Allier, Nevers, Vosges forests that were seasoned for 40 months. Then they were toasted and charred to Michter's specifications.
Bottled at 50.1% ABV, this 2025 release was launched in late January 2025. (SRP $140).

Tasting Notes
"A spice-forward nose has tinges of mixed berry compote and a hint of leather. The palate is like cinnamon, vanilla frosted wheat toaster tarts with berry jam, with a boozy heat on the back end. Further sips reveal deeper spice and jammy raspberry flavors, with notes of toasted grain bread. The finish is somewhat on the hot, spicy side with earthy mushroom tannins, lingering fruit and a liberal puff of charcoal smoke. "
