Bourbon
Booker's // Kentucky, USA
A favorite pastime of the the late Booker Noe was creek fishing for bluegill during Kentucky's humid, summer months. The fourth release in Booker’s Bourbon 2016 Batch Collection is aptly named for this family fishing tradition that continues with his son and 7th generation Master Distiller Fred Noe.
On a warm day, much like the old days of fishing, Fred Noe selected barrels from 4 rack houses that were distilled on 5 different dates. “Bluegill Creek” is bottled at 64% ABV and aged 6 years, 5 months, and 28 days,.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma at first sniff is prickly and full of char smoke. This is tamed slightly with water with the palate riding the savory/sweet divide with the sweet factor just coming ahead in the end. The bourbon is full of spicy sweetness which makes you want to take another sip. The cinnamon red hots come through in the end with a bitter end note and a puff of smoke."
