Boston Harbor "Spirit of Boston" Merry Maker Gingerbread Stout

A balanced, Two-Row Pale Malt Blend Wheat American Whiskey by Boston Harbor Distillery in Boston, Massachusetts that is twice distilled & matured in used barrels. It has an aromatic birth with notes of vanilla bean, gingerbread & spice; while a delicate life adds hints of more gingerbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla custard & orange; that led to a syrupy death with notes of butter & spices. September / October 2020 / August 2022

Sweet and cinnamon nose. Interesting flavor. Kind of medicine tasting? Worth a sip now and then. Oh! It’s the ginger I’m tasting.

Light and flavorful. Thoroughly enjoyed sipping.

I agree with others that it is young. But I think that’s the point. Really interesting nose. Does have that Christmas baking spice fragrance. Nutmeg, cinnamon etc. I got it as part of a tasting set and I’m glad I did. Wouldn’t want a whole bottle. Might be really good as part of a holiday mixed drink. Almost like a spiced rum but with all the boldness of a whiskey.
