Boxer Gin (40%)
Distilled Gin
Boxer // England
Boxer Gin is produced from a base of English wheat distilled in both copper pot and column stills. The botanicals, which include juniper, a mix of citrus, licorice root, cinnamon, and nutmeg, are macerated for 8 hours in the neutral spirit. It is then redistilled in a copper pot-still.
Next they steam distill wild juniper and cold-press bergamot peel to extract their essential oils. These are then added to the gin post-distillation. There is both a 40% ABV strength for the UK-market and an export-strength at 45% ABV.

Tasting Notes
"There is a pronounced citrus aroma that because of the juniper, brings to mind Pine Sol cleaner. The gin is fairly rich and thankfully the other botanicals bring the citrus in balance as you taste with coriander. Warming and slightly oily, the gin is a pleasant one with the touch of cinnamon coming through on the finish. Thoughts on serving would be in a gin smash with cucumber and basil."
