This whiskey begins with Kentucky straight bourbon (70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley) distilled by Owensboro Distilling Co. and is aged at least 2 years.
Then bourbon is dumped and batched into a tank and further aged with selected oak staves. In this case, 80% of the staves were former California cabernet sauvignon wine staves and the remainder were new French oak staves.

Tasting Notes
"Butterscotch is prominent on the nose, along with sugar-dusted grapes, tart raspberry syrup, and honey. The palate is rich, showcasing dark chocolate swirled with caramel, along with cranberries and candied citrus peels. A fairly quick finish turns drier, with leather, oak spices, barrel char, menthol, and peanut shells."
