This whiskey begins with Kentucky straight bourbon (70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley) distilled by Owensboro Distilling Co. and was aged at least 2 years.
Then bourbon was dumped and batched into a tank and further aged with selected oak staves. In this case, 40% of the staves were former bourbon barrels, 40% new French oak, and 20% sherry cask.

Tasting Notes
"Dates and dark chocolate kick off the nose, along with orange peels and a semi-acidic sherry vinegar. The palate is rich with a velvety mouthfeel, and showcases salted caramel, vanilla cream pie, and lemon curd. The finish is spicy, with cloves and nutmeg, and also features dark brown sugar, cacao nibs, and leather. "
