Brugal Añejo Rum

Raw and harsh are the first words that pop to mind, then the smokey flavors take over and won't let go. Beautiful deep color, those casks do really work here, but overall it feels rushed and needs more time to make the parts a better whole.

Spicy and toasty with a touch of a burn. Not complicated but sippable. Actually like this better than Appleton Signature. Solid in a mixer and a sipper.

Very subtle nose of brown sugar and cola. This is definitely on the savory side, mainly herbal, with cinnamon bark heavy wood spice, cork, and lemongrass. Dry finish.
