    Malty and creamy, like a rich mix of porridge and custard. There’s a dash of apricot jam in the mix too. The finish is gently spicy and sweet.

    Bruichladdich islay barley 2011 50% 2ND TRY - Sweetness, vanilla, slightly peppery, hint of floral 3 - Floral, nutty, coconut, raisins, smoothness, hint of pepper at the back, overall quite a pleasant drink 2.75 - no peat but nice vanilla oak 2.5 2.75 Caramel, vanilla, sweetness, peppery 2.25 Salty, spicy, oakiness, rich oiliness 2 Finish 2

    Sweet but not too much so Can taste the similarity to the classic laddie. To me it tastes similar except without the brine. Someone described it as a whisky to give to beer lovers, seems very apt. Like a whisky version of a lager.
