Long en bouche.
2012 version...Very smooth up front with an aggressive immediate afterburn that's more warming than painful. Short aftertaste, just like a Port Charlotte drink. Something cloudlike about the tasting - like you are just being enveloped in something you can't quite put your finger on, then it's gone. Decent Islay change of pace.
Nose of lemon peel, pepper, raisin, bourbon barrel, fresh bread, funky cheese, brine, spices and vanilla. Semi-sweet, barley, citrus, charred wood, honey and white wine. The finish is sweet and rich and a little charred.
