The water used at the distillery runs through peat and you can still get a slight taste even in this unpeated expression. The taste is full bodied, leather dried fruit and needing a pinch of water at 50% or so. At the price, a great shelf mainstay

Simply a fantastic dram! Bottles at 50% abv it can truly be enjoyed and explored. The Smokey peat is subtle and surprising for an unpeated whisky. This is a must have as it is full bodied, complex with multiple flavour notes, but not so over powering it is difficult to enjoy. Fantastic!
