Nose: sweet caramel apple, honey (and also some floral honeysuckle) peach, lemon zest, a little creamy vanilla and a hint of spice, specifically a candied ginger.
Splash of water makes this much more floral.
Palate: a bit of sharp oak spice, citrus zest, candied ginger, red apple, chewy malt.
Adding a splash of water retains most of the flavor, brings out a bit of caramel and obviously brings the heat down from 100°. Apple comes a bit more to the forefront and cerealy notes are more noticeable, floral tones also increase in prominence. Noticeable flamed lemon peel as it transitions to finish. Also brings out the salinity a bit more.
Finish: a very slight sea breeze, lingering bitter and spicy oak, a bit of cereal
