Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie

Easy to like, no peat, sweet, complexity medium

A very well executed Scotch! At 50% it is very smooth, pale and light yet it delivers clean and sharp flavors all the way through.

Nose is light and sweet. Reminds me of late summer grass, honey, and citrus. The palate is pleasant, light, and malty. More citrus and honey suckle for me. Finish is light and somewhat short but good. Overall this is a great light single malt. Water just brings the malt flavor to the front and lengthens the finish. Part of a holiday taster set so it's a great intro to Bruichladdich.

Smooth malt flavor until you get the ethanol pop. Lots of good scotch flavor for your tongue to enjoy. Unlike most Islay whisky, no smoke here which is good for my beginner pallet.
