The Laddie Rye is a limited edition release from Bruichladdich. Technically an Islay Single Grain Scotch Whisky, it’s made from a mash bill of Islay-grown rye and malting barley — all sourced within 11 miles of the distillery. The whisky was aged for 7 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and first-fill virgin American oak barrels that were toasted rather than charred.
It is bottled at 50% ABV and is released without chill-filtration or added color. The Laddie Rye is exclusive to the US with limited availability beginning November 2025. (SRP $59.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma is a bit shy initially, but it's got a light spice, nut, and toasted oak scent. The palate is pretty smooth with a hearty grain-forward profile. There's some apple and cherry skins here, but that is a light note. Body is average weight. There's a bit of an ale note here, but it's background. Flavor ends on the bitter side. "
