Buchanan's Red Seal

First misleading reviews and flavor profile in this app. Peated nose and above average smoke dominate this pour, which is not my jam. The dark fruits are there but it is difficult to enjoy them through the smoke.

Notes of coconut, almonds and licorice raisin on the nose. An almost perfect balance of cherry,licorice dark chocolate and spices on the palate. Very elegant,relaxing finish.

Good scotch salty Islay

Notes of almonds and leather on the nose. Licorice flares of dark chocolate and sherries on the palate. Long finish.

Underwhelming for a 21 year-old blend. The Johnny Walker 18 is superior and cheaper.

Actually a bit muted. Not overly flavorful on the tongue and the flavor only hits in the throat

5 stars - Superb Worth it. Everything is in perfect balance. Johnnie Walker Blue wishes it was this whisky. This is one of the few purchase above $60 that has left me truly happy. Johnnie Walker Green and Nikka Whiskey From the Barrel are the other blends that live in this rarified air.
