Nose: apple pie. Vanilla. Brown sugar. Maybe Clove?
Rich. Smooth. Spicyyyyyy. Like spicy Christmas desserts. Better than the regular bulleit. But still not my favorite.
Nice amber bourbon. Nose is fantastic: caramel, mint, rye, citrus. Palate disappoints slightly: gentle, butterscotch, cinnamon, musk like an autumn forest. Finish: long, oaky, raisins, but not overly sweet like some bourbon. Really solid bourbon without breaking the mould.
Medium body. Clove, cinnamon spice, some vanilla, orange. At $39. A bottle in our state (Virginia) controlled stores, worth he price. It's a 10yo! More spice than Russell Reserve 10 and Eagle Rare. For me Russell Reserve 10 yo is the best value. A good pour and a lower price point and always available. Bulleit is a great buy when you want the extra spice.
