Bunnahabhain 12 Year

Solid 3.5 for the Bunny. Could be a good every day drinker if the price wasn’t creeping up. Been seeing them for about $70 USD recently

Lovely; purchased in York, GB

Nose: sherry, vanilla and initially a hint of smoke. followed by spices and cinnamon in particular. Taste: sweety fruity arrival. It gets dry and salty with figs, oak and Oloroso sherry. The finish is rather short and undefined. All in all a decent but rather forgettable drum. I like the package with natural colour, higher proof and without chillfiltration but does not fit my palate to well. (80/100)

Appearance: The color on this Islay single malt is a beautiful burnt umber. The legs are thin and extra viscous. Nose: The nose is beautiful! It's overall smokey and fruity with further notes of graham crackers, rubber band aids, dead leaves, and grapes. Taste: The palate is delicious with notes of orange and lime citrus, cinnamon and burnt sugar, some medicinal tang like the first injection of saline, burnt marshmallow, and with a couple drops of water, chocolate fudge! Finish: The finish is medium long, and there's a brown sugar and burnt marshmallow aftertaste. Yum. Thoughts: Oh man, this was so good! I am a big fan of this scotch and highly recommend it! It's a great introductory Islay with some of the notes that mark its aggression without scaring you away. I would definitely buy this again and try others in its family too. Bunny, thank you much!
