Bushmills Black Bush

More of a “shooter” whiskey with a quick burn and a taste of gasoline to start, a touch of honey unifies the drink.

Still not sold on sherry yet. Sweetness is present. Long lasting finish. Strong sherry notes.

Nov 2019. Clear medium light gold. Medium small tulip. Aromatic longan honey, maple syrup, figs, sweeten prune, sweed spicy and a little cedar wood in nose. Light body with lots of sweet kernel fruit, foreast tree bark, sweet spicy and a little salty vanilla in palate. Good balance smooth straight finish. Definitely more complex than the original Bushmills but not by much. Nose is attractive but tastes young and wild.
