Canadian Mist // Canada
Canadian Mist is a single distillery blended whisky. Meaning, they distill all grains (rye, corn, and barley) individually then age before blending it all to produce the whisky. Brown-Forman owns this product.
CanadianDISTILLED IN CANADA AND AGED IN BARRELS FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS; OFTEN (BUT NOT ALWAYS) CANADIAN WHISKIES ARE BLENDS OF CORN, BARLEY, AND RYE WHISKIES WHICH WERE DISTILLED AND MATURED SEPARATELY. TRADITIONALLY, CANADIAN WHISKEY IS CALLED “RYE”, ALTHOUGH NO MINIMUM PERCENTAGE OF RYE-GRAIN WHISKY IS REQUIRED IN A BLEND.
"First thoughts about the whisky included the peanut shells found on the floor of some pubs. The second thought included carnival popcorn. The whisky fades on your palate fairly quickly and you are just left with peanut shells and maybe some barrel spices."
