The Dubliner Irish Whiskey
The Dubliner // Ireland
Prior to this release (June 2015), you may have seen a bottling of The Dubliner Irish Whiskey Liqueur, a blend of Irish Whiskey and honeycomb. This blended Irish Whiskey is its next of kin. It is a blend of single malt and grain whiskey which was aged in ex-bourbon casks for an undisclosed amount of time. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
BlendedComprised of both single malt(s) and single grain(s) often from many different distilleries; if Scotch or Irish must be aged for at least three years in oak barrels; Irish may include single pot still whiskey in the blend.
"The aroma on this whiskey leans towards the spicy and smoky side with some wet cardboard and a little nail polish remover. It is sweet on the tongue with toasted vanilla and raw grain. The alcohol burn on the finish outweighs all features on the finish which were bitter and woody flavors. This isn't something special to seek out; perhaps best to stick with their liqueur."
