Reviewed August 20, 2022Not as smokey as I was expecting from a Caol Ila. A well balanced whisky, nothing stands out too strongly to me. -

Reviewed August 20, 2022Evokess: your favorite old wool sweater and a hug from your father. Not particularly complex, but a nice blend of peat and vanilla. Slightly oily with a creamy base. -

Reviewed July 26, 2022Tasted side by side with the Caol Ila 12 Nose: Fruitier than the 12, to be expected, less harsh. It’s actually a lovely nose, almost buttery and vanilla! But subtle peat throughout. Was less aggressive than the 12. Taste: Lovely Conclusion: If you want a mellow Islay you can’t go wrong here! Smoke and peat but not going to knock you out!Reading
