Clynelish 14 Year

Found a “Classic Malts Collection” 3 pack at one of my favorite haunts for $39.99, consisting of 200ml bottles of Talisker 10, Caol Ila 12, and Clynelish 14. Clynelish is the one I hadn’t tasted before. I can’t add anything beyond what numerous other fine reviews here have said. It’s fruity and sweet with honey and malt, has a great waxy, oily mouth feel, with stone fruits, honey, malt, a little pepper and peat smoke, the medium length finish is slightly peppery. I’ll liked it better with a couple drops of water as it tamed any rough edges.

Fruity aroma with a gentle touch of vanilla

Lots of citrus, salt, spicy, little peat, generaly balanced. nothing outstanding but overall joy.

Barely notice the peat. Get tangy fruitiness. Apples, green grapes, white wine, champagne. Very long finish.
