Herbal/Spice LiqueursHerbal and/or spiced liqueurs make up a bulk of the liqueur family. Oftentimes the recipe or formula is top secret and decades if not centuries old and were created for “medicinal purposes.” Any type of liquor can form the base. Sugar is added prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes
"A flash of spicy pepper opens up the flavor profile. This is followed by a mix of mint, pine needle, sarsaparilla, clove, anise, fennel and walnut. It finishes with a warming, sweet spiciness. The overall sipping experience is fun, kind of reminiscent of green Chartreuse, but with hotter spices. "
