Herbal/Spice LiqueursHerbal and/or spiced liqueurs make up a bulk of the liqueur family. Oftentimes the recipe or formula is top secret and decades if not centuries old and were created for “medicinal purposes.” Any type of liquor can form the base. Sugar is added prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes
"Fresh cut, sweet herbs such as spearmint, dill, and thyme mix with jasmine, lime, bay leaf and a candied fruit note akin to lime jello. The palate contains a rich and aromatic mix of cocoa, lime jelly, marshmallow, spearmint, pear, and birch beer. The finish is quite viscous and minty, with a sweet, sugary, but mellow finish. "
