"Face it, unless you are deliberately punishing yourself, you're not going to sip this rum neat by choice. Upon first taste, it's not too bad. There's a decent flavor of butterscotch, vanilla, berries and rummy herbal/hogo notes, and it's surprisingly full bodied. However, it also tastes as though a fair amount of the tails of distillation (possibly the heart too) were left in, also heavily of rubbing alcohol, and then those flavors overshadow everything else. The best use of this spirit would be as lighter fuel for the floating lime peel garnish of a tiki drink. Just maybe think twice about using it IN the cocktail if you like the person drinking it."
