Código 1530 Reposado Tequila

A complex, aged Agave from Amatitán, Mexico; the only Reposado over seven years old that is then aged for 6 months in the finest Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels. It has an aromatic birth with notes of agave & green pepper; while a rich & spicy life adds notes of vanilla, cacao & caramelized nuts, that lead to a balanced death. December 2019

Aromas of vanilla custard, dark fruit, agave. Slight ethanol. Palate has agave and citrus, with a bit of caramel. The finish has more influence from the cab barrel, with some tannins, chocolate, dark fruit, and some orange pith. This is a nice unique repo, but could be a touch better integrated.

Light caramel sweetness in the begining, changing to orange peels, salt, lime, more fresh than roasted agave, hay and oak, and a tiny dash of fruitiness. finish is a little spicy but nothing crazy. I like
