Compass Box Spice Tree

Warming whisky fitting for the cold wintermonths with sweet spices, vanilla oak wood and orange peel with subtle smoke. For me it needed some time to open up from the upfront oakiness and spice, became more sweet after some time.

Ok - not as complex as the nose let on.

Nose citrus pear, mango. Pallet oak, vanilla, floral, nutmeg.

Spicy & sweet.

Really pleasant and well-balanced. Quite tasty actually. Aroma has a bit of cinnamon and some syrup, but not a very prominent aroma overall. Complex flavor – lots of namesake spice like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and orange peel. There’s some nice sweetness as well.
