Connemara Original Peated Single Malt

Less smooth (sweetness in particular) than Laphroaig with a stronger alcohol taste and less peated flavour. Also feels less thick. Very clear colour and you can definitely tell from both texture and taste that this bottled has not been matured

Tastes like a Icelandic fresh fish market with light fruit finish. Smells like a homeless camp in a county fair dumpster. It basically tastes like if Steve Buscemi in ConAir was a whiskey .

This is such an interesting whiskey. It has the fruity, shortbread, citrus smell of Irish whiskey, and it has the smoky, earthy smell of peat. Sweet and friendly, with a gentle smoky peatyness that isn’t overwhelming. This is one to be careful with, it’s so easy to drink, I kept wondering why my glass was empty.

Nice amber color. Full nose. Lightly peated, just as I like it. Smooth. Easy double yum.
