American BrandyProduced in the US, this is usually referring to brandy distilled from grape-based wine. If the producer uses other fruit, it must be stated on the label. If aged under two years in oak, it must state the word "immature" on the label. Beyond that, labels such as VS, VSOP, and XO mean little as the brands themselves dictate what that means to them.

Tasting Notes
"The nose showcases a strong licorice note, with raisins, prunes and peppermint. The palate starts perfumed and floral with chrysanthemum bud and potpourri, and also offers dried apricots, walnuts and dark chocolate. The finish is moderate in length and both spicy, with black pepper, cloves and oak, as well as herbal, with cilantro and coriander. Final notes include a touch of rye alongside bitter burnt lemon peel."
