"That high proof makes its presence felt on the nose, but take a second whiff and find rich sweetness, with apricots, grassy notes and a buttery profile. A soft mouthfeel is a touch one-note upfront, with honey and oak behind it. Dry and astringent on a hot, big finish. After an enticing aroma, it's a bit of a letdown on the palate. Ice redeems it with more depth, with sweeter notes, jam, blackberries and grapes. "
