It's fermented with traditional malted barley that has Citra Double IPA hops in the vapor basket to impart their flavor.

Tasting Notes
"The nose is spicy and citrusy. On the palate it's a mix of malted cocoa, grapefruit (both peel and pulp), tangerine (same), lemon (you get the picture), lemongrass, ginger and clove. Like the other hopped whiskeys in the range, it's more bitter than sweet, like beer, though somehow still manages to have enough of a malty kick. For fans of spicy whiskeys who also like beer, this would be something fun to sip."
