Crown Royal Blender Mark Balkenende selected 100% Coffey Rye for this blend. This coveted whisky distilled in a Coffey column still is made from a high-rye mash bill of corn, rye and malted barley. The spirit is aged in new oak for seven to nine years. Crown Royal runs their Coffey Still once a year continuously for a five-week period to produce this whisky. It’s incredibly creamy on the palate with a tight, cohesive collection of cloves, brown sugar and buttery vanilla.
