Cruzan Black Strap Rum

Definitely strong of molasses/brown sugar, maybe a bit too harsh.

A very nice, run of the mill, 40% dark rum. Used it primarilu in cocktails to add a layer of depth along side a white rum.

Something in the air

Strong smell and taste of molassas and vanilla. The harsh alcohol taste keeps this from being truly great.

2.25.22 Served 1: Neat, Glencairn Served 2: Jungle Bird Bottle Open: >1 Year Aroma: Molasses, vanilla, candy Flavor: Mouthfeel is thin. Very spicy The sting is felt all around the mouth. Aeration moves all the aromas to the nose. Not my favorite on its own. Brings delightful complexity to a Jungle Bird.
