Dalwhinnie 15 Year

Apple, pear, honey, vanilla. Spice and peat smoke in the finish. Tasty pour. I'm mainly a bourbon and rye drinker but trying to get into Scotch. This was a nice change of pace.

Honey and vanilla were both super prominent up front. I loved the hint of smoke/pear and medicinal flavor on the back end. A nice surprise.

Smooth, apple, spicy long finish. Easy to drink but too light for me. Reminds me of aged cider.

Rating this low specifically because of the price tag attached to it. It has been praised by many to me, which is probably the reason why I had high expectations, but it's not a complex palate. Basically, not a good price/value combination.
