Fantastic nose. I could smell this for hours. This is what all bourbon should taste like. Daayum!

Happy St. Patty's day! Suck it COVID-19. Caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, honeysuckle, cooked fruit, hint of spice and oak. Oily with a creamy mouth feel. I'm primarily a bourbon and rye guy but this is stellar. Great pour!

This is very obviously sourced Dickel rye. Vanilla, oak, red fruit and berries, rye spice. Wine notes on the finish. Somewhat astringent. Nicely balanced. Interesting young rye at a great price point.

Vanilla, butterscotch, cherry and oak on the nose. Palate is in line with the nose with a good spice kick. Nice heat. Tasty wheated bourbon but not as complex as I prefer. Good daily sipper if you like wheaters. Probably won't purchase another bottle at $65.

Nose is cherry cola, vanilla, caramel, tobacco, oak. Flavor bomb! Spice and heat. The hellfire burn lingers in the back of your throat and chest. Good stuff. Will add a few drops of water to the next glass to see how it opens up.

2014 bottle. Dill, rye spice, vanilla. Some nice complexity from the 16 year old Barton's rye in this pre-2018 batch. Really well balanced. Oily on the glass. Long finish that lingers. If you can find a bottle prior to 2017 with the old formula for $65 or so, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Apple, pear, honey, vanilla. Spice and peat smoke in the finish. Tasty pour. I'm mainly a bourbon and rye drinker but trying to get into Scotch. This was a nice change of pace.
