Nose: Heavy honey with some caramel and possibly even stone fruit. Smells like a very sweet whiskey.
Palate: Barrel notes start to kick in. A heavy leather flavor arrives full force. The honey is there, but in a smaller dose.
Finish: Lingers in the front of the throat. A buttery sweetness coats the tongue as it goes down.
Overall, this is a very good scotch. The sweetness is pleasurable without being cloying. However, this can definitely fall in the trap of being too heavy, especially with the honey notes. A good sipping scotch, especially for the price.
