Del Professore was founded by Leonardo Leuci, owner of the Jerry Thomas Speakeasy bar in Rome, with the goal of re-creating the styles of vermouth and aperitivi that would have been popular in the late 18th century Thomas era. The Rosso is a Piedmontese style of sweet vermouth, made from a selection of wines and infused with a mix of botanicals that includes wormwood, Alpine mint, rhubarb, bitter orange, cloves, and mace.

VermouthVermouth is a type of aromatized wine. It is fortified and flavored with botanicals typically featuring Artemisia absinthium (wormwood) as the primary bittering agent. In the EU, it must be made from 75% wine and its ABV is 14.5-22%. Vermouth styles range from extra dry to sweet.
Tasting Notes
"For fans of sweet vermouth with a richer texture, this is a great one to reach for. The presence of mint is barely detectable, merely adding a needed freshness to its fruity richness that finishes with an orangey aroma. It's delicious on its own on the rocks, but for mixing, it's probably best with spirits or other ingredients that have a bit of a kick in their own right. "
