Delord Armagnac XO

Maybe the color of burnt sienna. I’m thinking this is artificial. Notes of gingerbread, ripe orchard fruit, rich oak, coffee, caramel, crème brulee and hint of barrel spice. Slick, sweet, dangerously easy to drink.

Heavy raisin, toasted almond, apricot and orange rind. There’s smaller red berry notes. There is a noticeable spice level to this but otherwise is relatively smooth to drink neat. the finish is medium to long with a lot of spice and dryness despite its relative sweetness in the beginning with the fruit. I enjoyed this a lot!

The nose is grapes. The taste is hot pepper, which clogs all other components. The long finish of the pepper. Overall, more like an inexpensive whisky than an armagnac.
