Don Amado Arroqueño Mezcal

This mezcal is distilled in Santa Catarina Minas in clay pot stills made with the soil of their estate. They own their agave fields and are committed to the long-term care of the land and replanting. Their use of traditional methods extend also to the wood used to roast the agave in the earth. Their methods of production have been passed down and has evolved in their family for 11 generations, or over 300 years. Agave Arroqueño is a sub-species of agave Agave americana Oaxacensis.
Mezcal JovenA spirit distilled from one or more different varieties of agave. Can only be produced in designated areas within 8 different Mexican states. Must be bottled in México. This is unaged or aged in stainless steel or plastic containers before bottling.
"This mezcal is elegant and rustic at the same time. At once revealing bright floral aromatics with notes of caramelized agave followed by leather, smoke, earth, and spice. The flavors begin at tart fruits, move to delicate blossoms, and are juxtaposed with layered chocolate, espresso, and savory spice. All the while maintaining a balance supported by the mineral backbone and sapid roasty notes. This is a pleasant adventure to taste and savor."
