Don Julio Añejo Tequila

Neat. Nose is fruity, herbal, floral, agave, vanilla, oak, touch of white pepper at the end. Taste starts agave sweet, tropical fruits, oaky vanilla, wildflower honey that's hard to pinpoint specific herbs, then soft peppery oak for balance on the pretty side. It's got a nice floral sweet bitter finish that lasts a decently long time. Overall. it's a very pretty, almost feminine, tequila that is perfectly balanced by the barrel that only adds some more masculine notes while not distracting from those qualities. Value is meh. $60US would be fair, but this is a better juice than 1942 IMO

Super sweet nose. Burn on finish - relatively smooth

The raptors chased you into a field of agave. It's hot out, you can still taste your leather belt from making a tourniquet for your arm, and you landed into a bucket of gourmet vanilla ice cream that some poor schmoe tried to leave with from the visitor center. Yep, a good amount of heat all over the tongue. Some fruity agave mixed with some leather and vanilla. Finish doesn't last long. Just take a big pull off this bottle, stand up, and go alpha on those damn raptors.

While neat, this tequila is what happens when smooth and spicy meet. It enters smooth with a vanilla flavor, then the spice kicks in intensely but briefly, and then it mellows out to a nice smooth finish. Over ice, the spice is less prominent and the smooth is more so, over a short period of time the spice nearly vanished and your left with a ridiculously smooth tequila.
